[Q: When people say that figure skating is not really a manly sport. What would you tell them? and why?]
When I first started figure skating, I heard this from hockey players. One day a coach yelled at his players because they were shouting at the skaters and being rude and they smelled, and the coach says, "I'd like to see all of you fall from that height in the air, wearing nothing but some spandex and glitter, get up and keep skating. You all wear pads, don't skate too much and still cry. Give me twenty push-ups." I may have varied the words a little bit, but I still remember it because it gave me the chin up against those "macho sports."

Whether witty or wise, controversial or charming, shocking or silly, sweet or sassy, provocative or profound, inspiring or infuriating--or any combination of those--Johnny Weir, the three-time U.S. Champion, two-time Olympian, and World medalist figure skater, almost always says something worth quoting whenever he commentates a skating competition, makes a TV appearance, gives an interview, holds a press conference, writes, tweets, or is caught on video. His quotes needed to be collected and shared; hence this blog.
