Johnny Weir

Whether witty or wise, controversial or charming, shocking or silly, sweet or sassy, provocative or profound, inspiring or infuriating--or any combination of those--Johnny Weir, the three-time U.S. Champion, two-time Olympian, and World medalist figure skater, almost always says something worth quoting whenever he commentates a skating competition, makes a TV appearance, gives an interview, holds a press conference, writes, tweets, or is caught on video. His quotes needed to be collected and shared; hence this blog.

Something as mundane as a trip to Starbucks can even end in defeat. Did you acquire your coffee or didn’t you? The main task at hand is getting coffee but there are a million other chances for disaster on your journey to caffeine. Is there gas in the car or could the lack of gas keep you from the coffee? Is there someone who doesn’t know how to drive that you’ll have an accident with and end up in the hospital instead of the comfy chair at Starbucks? Will a volcano erupt over Iceland and scramble flight patterns keeping you from the only brew you wanted from Ethiopia? Life can be so hard.
