Johnny Weir

Whether witty or wise, controversial or charming, shocking or silly, sweet or sassy, provocative or profound, inspiring or infuriating--or any combination of those--Johnny Weir, the three-time U.S. Champion, two-time Olympian, and World medalist figure skater, almost always says something worth quoting whenever he commentates a skating competition, makes a TV appearance, gives an interview, holds a press conference, writes, tweets, or is caught on video. His quotes needed to be collected and shared; hence this blog.

Galina has a laminated bus schedule. We're prepared, we are all set.

(on his preparation for the 2010 Olympics)

Blogger's note: Johnny was alluding to the fact that at the 2006 Olympics, he missed the shuttle bus to the arena before his free skate after the schedule was changed without either his or then-coach, Priscilla Hill's, being aware of the change. Their frantic search for transportation to the arena, and Johnny's shortened preparation time before his free skate, may have affected his performance. His lackluster free skate ended his chance to medal, and he ended up in fifth place, despite his brilliant second place short program, The Swan.
