Johnny Weir

Whether witty or wise, controversial or charming, shocking or silly, sweet or sassy, provocative or profound, inspiring or infuriating--or any combination of those--Johnny Weir, the three-time U.S. Champion, two-time Olympian, and World medalist figure skater, almost always says something worth quoting whenever he commentates a skating competition, makes a TV appearance, gives an interview, holds a press conference, writes, tweets, or is caught on video. His quotes needed to be collected and shared; hence this blog.

Blogger's note: This is the same episode of World of Figure Skating in which gay, former skater Mark Lund infamously criticized Johnny, "I cannot wrap my head around how just overly out he is without saying he's out. I'm sorry, I don’t think he's representative of the community I want to be a part of. And who designs these outfits?...You cannot, I'm sorry, compare yourself to the Lord Savior as a figure skater."

Johnny talked about Lund's comments in a scene in Pop Star on Ice. He also commented on them in an interview quote which can be found here.
