Johnny Weir

Whether witty or wise, controversial or charming, shocking or silly, sweet or sassy, provocative or profound, inspiring or infuriating--or any combination of those--Johnny Weir, the three-time U.S. Champion, two-time Olympian, and World medalist figure skater, almost always says something worth quoting whenever he commentates a skating competition, makes a TV appearance, gives an interview, holds a press conference, writes, tweets, or is caught on video. His quotes needed to be collected and shared; hence this blog.

Somebody's in the elevator.

[Carrie Keagan: Who? Who might be coming?]

I don't know.

[CK: Should we give him...]

Who dat?

[CK: Hello?]

I heard a beep.

[CK: Hello. I can't see...Hello!]

Hi, good morning!

[CK: Hi!]

Good morning!

[CK: We're getting no looks. Hello!]

You're on television!

[CK: Good morning!]

Smile pretty!

[CK: I love it. We got our first one.]

Yay!

[CK: We just scared the crap out of him too by the way.]

He should be scared. Trench coat?

[CK: Oh. It's raining outside. What else are you going to do? Come on.]

I would travel with a huge accessory that's like a hat like a giant umbrella, like a circus umbrella...or tent.

Blogger's note: the above dialogue was later followed by this about the trench coat-wearing man.
