[Q. What is your favorite fabric to wear? Favorite fabric to work with in designing / creating costumes or clothing?]

I am a huge cashmere whore. I love it. My mother taught me when I was young that it is the most valuable, sturdy, and comfortable fabric to wear and own, and although she wasn’t entirely right, I still have a sweet spot for cashmere. In skating costumes, I love net. Stephanie, my costume designer, calls me the net queen. Net is sexy, and comes in so many colors and you can layer them all different ways, and put rhinestones all over it, and ugh …
